Innovative use of electronics in winding machines

Electronic technology in the winding machine application examples are widely varied, the emergence of these technologies not only improve the production efficiency of the winding machine, but also improve the quality of the yarn, promote the sustainable development of enterprises, and further promote the development of the textile machinery industry.


The following are the specific application examples of electronic technology in the winding machine:


1. Electronic anti-folding technology


Principle: During the winding process, when the barrel rotational speed is in specific proportion to the slot barrel rotational speed (that is, when the barrel happens to turn through a whole number of revolutions), the yarn may overlap on the barrel, which leads to some deterioration in the quality of the yarn. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, electronic anti-overlap technology has emerged and is commonly adopted by modern winders. This technology prevents yarn overlapping and improves yarn quality and stability by monitoring and adjusting the rotational speed of the slot cylinder and the barrel in real time and controlling the servo motor to adjust the rotational speed of the slot cylinder.


Application example: In the Autoconer 5 automatic winder, it utilises an electronic computer to control the speed ratio of the slot cylinder and the adjustment, and detects the cylinder speed by means of a photoelectric encoder, and detects the rotational speed of the slot cylinder in conjunction with the Eco-pack FX yarn precision length-setting device, thus achieving precise speed ratio control as well as winding length. When the critical overlapping winding diameter is reached, the computer controls the acceleration and deceleration of the servo motor driving the grooved cylinder, which effectively prevents yarn overlapping and improves the yarn quality.


2. Electronic yarn clearing technology


Principle: Another important application of electronic technology in the winding machine is the electronic yarn clearer, which can indirectly reflect the changes in the cross-sectional area of the yarn by measuring the quality of the yarn per unit length and detecting the yarn defects. When a defect is detected, the electronic yarn clearer sends a signal and cuts or marks the defective and flawed yarn breaks. The application of this technology helps to reduce yarn defects and improve yarn quality.


Application example: Autoconer 5 automatic winder is equipped with a capacitive electronic yarn clearer, which consists of a capacitive sensor, a detection circuit, an amplification circuit, an integration circuit, a signal processing circuit and a cutter drive circuit. 3. Tension control technology


Principle: Tension control is an important part of the winding process, so the electronic tension control technology is particularly important, it can monitor the yarn tension changes through the sensor, and automatically adjust the relevant parameters to ensure that the yarn in the winding process to maintain a stable state of tension, effectively avoiding the yarn in the winding process due to uneven tension resulting in breakage or damage.

4. Automation control system

The control software optimises the acceleration process by continuously comparing the speeds of the slotted cylinder and the cylinder winding, reducing the turbulent yarn layers and hairiness generated by variable speeds. 5. Air ring control technology


Principle: The air ring controller is a device used to control the shape of air ring and the length of friction yarn breakage.
